Pide is one of the classics of Anatolian cuisine. We think everyone agrees that there is a pastry that can be enjoyed at every meal with a glass of tea or ayran. Unlimited in the material put inside. Pide or Turkish flat bread has a very rich variety with meat, vegetables and herbs and of course is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. When you cut the pide you make with this recipe, you will hear the crackle you want and catch a delicious taste while eating. Be sure to try it!

How To Make Turkish Pide?
Cube your meat with a sharp knife.
Finely chop the vegetables and mix with the meat.
Take the flour in a large bowl. Make a hole in the center and add the water, yeast and sugar and mix for a few minutes. (If you are using fresh yeast, crumble the yeast in the water with your hands)
Then add olive oil and salt, mix a little more and knead for 8-10 minutes. It will be a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Leave the dough to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
Divide the dough into 5 equal parts. Open each part in a long and oval shape as in the image. (you can adjust the length according to your baking tray, but be careful not to be too thick)
Spread the filling evenly on the dough you have opened.
Fold the edges of pide inwards as in the image.
Brush the yoghurt diluted with a little water on the edges of the folded pide.
Bake in a preheated oven at 230 degrees for about 15 minutes until the edges are browned. (cooking time may vary depending on the oven)
Sprinkle the grated cheddar over them 5 minutes before they come out of the oven.
Cut the pide into slices and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
* You can put the remaining pide in a freezer bag or container and put them in the freezer, and heat them when you eat.
